Attention Secondary teachers of Italian!

If you’re looking for an exciting way to engage your students with the Italian that is all around them, you’ve found it! This competition, created by the Italian Studies department and RUMACCC at the University of Melbourne, along with CO.AS.IT and VATI, gives students the chance to look up from their smartphones and find written Italian all around them!

LinguaSnapp Melbourne is a free, simple-to-use app that is part of a research project to discover what languages are visible all around the world, with a focus in Melbourne.  Students will be using the app to engage with their surroundings and show how present Italian is here in Victoria. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded for the best photos that represent visible Italian around Victoria, as well as a cash prize for the school that uploads the most photos.

The competition opens on June 15th, so please register your interest by completing the form on this link
