2023 VATI Membership now available
VATI has long supported the teaching of Italian in Victoria. The Association provides quality professional learning for teachers and engaging learning events for students. Membership gives access to discounted rates for events and some events are for members only. VATI works closely with likeminded institutions to promote and sustain the teaching of Italian in Victoria.
Membership for 2023 is now available. Payment may be made by Credit Card or EFT (Credit Card is very much preferred).

2023 Professional Learning
2023 Language Maintenance - Beginners to Intermediate
This series of online classes is for those practising teachers in Primary and Secondary schools who wish to develop their skills in spoken and written Italian.
A certificate of participation will be given to those who attend.
Classes will be conducted in Italian by University lecturers.
The aim of the classes is language maintenance for the teachers through the use of a variety of current resources-videos, articles, songs and short texts, all accessible and stimulating. The class is conducted in a friendly atmosphere with plenty of participation in a variety of activities.
Cost: $20.00 (Department of Education), $40.00 (non Department of Education).
Classes begin Wednesday 24 May at 5.30pm and will run on: 24 May, 1 June, 7 June, 21 June, 28 June
Places are limited – first come, best dressed.
Payment by credit card only.
Organised by the Victorian Association of Teachers of Italian (VATI) with funding support from the Victorian Government.

2023 Language Immersion Weekend for teachers of Italian
A Professional Learning Opportunity for Teachers of Italian
We are pleased to offer again the Italian Language Immersion Weekend for primary and secondary teachers.
The aim of this immersion weekend is to provide opportunities to practice the Italian language in a number of stimulating and engaging activities with colleagues.
The Immersion weekend will be facilitated by Antonella Cavallini, an experienced Italian lecturer at The University of Melbourne.

2022 Mock Exam now available
Attention VCE Teachers of Italian! The 2022 Mock exam is now available to download, at no cost, to members of VATI teaching Italian at VCE level.
VATI members automatically have access to the archive of mock exams, in the Resources menu, once they have logged in. If your school is a VATI member, but you have not been given a login, please ask your coordinator to arrange this.
Previous VATI Mock Exams, Suggested Answers, and Transcriptions are also available to download.
Exams up to 2019 are based on the previous Study Design, but are provided for teachers to use as they see fit in their classes. Teachers should note that, with the introduction of a new study design, the examinations based on the previous Study Design are not necessarily a guide to the current VCE examination for this study.

Model UN in the Italian Language for 2023
